LEAKED BOOKER EMAILS REVEAL CONSPIRACY AT MAGIC 8's

"Attractive".

One word. One word in a single email from Drew Holly, the booker at legendary New Jersey venue Magic 8's, written to Spade War, a Long Island hardcore band. Yet this one word has sparked a controversy that could shake the Tri-state scene to its very core.

"We had that hold for months now."

So spoke Spew, frontman for Spade War. For months they had been organizing a mini-tour around the release of their latest EP, "Dead Cops", 6 rollicking take-no-prisoners hardcore jams in the Discharge/Poison Idea vein. The tour was coming together nicely when Spew received the fateful email.

"Drew said he was bumping us, that he had double booked the night by mistake. He said to come at him the future with an attractive lineup. I was like WTF?"

Never one to sit on his tattooed hands, Spew asked his homie Jonnie Makeshift, who had occasional bartending shifts at Magic 8's, if he knew anything. As Jonnie related:

"I was in a little early for my shift and I happened to pass by Drew's office. The door was open. I went inside to talk to him and his email was open on his computer. He was talking to Squall, that wack ass pop punk band with the hot singer, about the same night at Spew's show. And they had JUST EMAILED HIM."
