https://sciotorecords.bandcamp.com/album/better-grid

Field Sleeper is the moniker of Alex Paquet, he has written under the name since 2012. His upcoming album, Better Grid, represents Paquet’s best efforts to nestle between poppy, guitar based songwriting and sonic, synthesized stillness. His lyrics are centered on emotional reconciliation, dissolving the tensions of the past in pursuit of a calmer future. On the title track, Paquet remarks “I can hear you sculpting a safer spiral/how I wish you’d build a better grid”. On this tour, he will be joined by Felix O’Connor (vocals, bass) and Dylan Reese (drums), transforming the often ambient tracks of Better Grid into a more lively, louder performance.

Better Grid is out 3/16 via Scioto Records.

10 pm: J BOXER (of BLUFFING)

https://jboxer.bandcamp.com/

"Pop and punk have always had brevity and catchiness as a common thread and [BLUFFING] see their self-imposed ‘less than two-minute rule’ as a challenge to write the most addictive songs possible; to try and express more with less. 'Sheltered', which comes in at exactly 1:27, builds up to what sounds like it’s going to be a raucously meandering guitar excursion, before pulling the rug out just after the first chorus. It’s enough to make you go back and start the song all over again." - Luke O'Neil, Bullett Magazine
