WHERE'S D'ARCY?

"I just wanna be MEEEEEEEE......without D'arcy."

-new lyrics to the Pumpkins classic, "Mayonnaise"

The people in their 20s during the Pumpkins heyday are now in their 40s, prime time for disposable income. The perfect time for the Pumpkins to cash in with a reunion tour. That's what their tour this summer is called, a reunion of the classic lineup. But it's not. D'arcy Wretzky, the bass player, is missing. So what happened? Why isn't D'arcy part of the re-united original lineup?

Keep in mind the Pumpkins already reunited in 2006 with half the original lineup ("William" Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain) and recorded a widely panned album, Zeitgeist. So bringing in James Iha makes this the classic lineup? It's like D'arcy never even mattered.

(D'arcy texting "William" after he told her they recorded a whole album without her)

So Billy Corgan records a whole album, without telling D'arcy or including her in the sessions. Then he throws her an offer to be part of the tour.

Then apparently he takes the offer back?  You can tour all you want, but don't call it a reunion of the classic lineup with D'arcy.

ALL I WANT THIS SUMMER IS TO GO TO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

AND SEE D'ARCY PLAYING CELLO ON A FUCKING CLOUD
